Q. My record contains incorrect information! (such as name, zip code, etc.)
A. All of our data is downloaded periodically from AUXDATA. We have read-only access to this data. By design, if your information is incorrect in AUXDATA, then it will be incorrect in the eDirectory. To fix this, submit a Change of Member Information (Form 7028) to your FSO-IS. Only IS officers (of which we are not) can update AUXDATA info.

Q. Why are there only 20 records displayed, although my query matched many more than that?
A. At the moment, there is a 20 record search limit. This is in place to protect Auxiliarists from having their names put on mass-mailing lists (spammers). If your query returns more than 20 records, you many need to add additional or more-specific criteria for finding the member(s) you seek. Those who hold offices whose duties require a higher limit have been granted the appropriate permissions.

Q. My record incorrectly shows me as being in an office that I am not (or having a competency I shouldn't). How can I change this?
A. Since all of our data comes from Auxdata, you need to have your appropriate IS personnel update your Auxdata record. Your FSO-IS should be able to assist you. You can find him/her by clicking the My FSO-IS link on the left side of the eDirectory.

Q. I tried to activate my account, but I have not received an email!
A. This may be because you have no email address in Auxdata, or that it is incorrect. It may be an old email address, was entered into Auxdata incorrectly, or have a problem such as your account being too full.

When you request your activation, we display the email address the activation email was sent to in big red letters. Please verify that this email address is correct, and update your email address in Auxdata if it is not.

Also, some junk mail filters may think eDirectory email is "spam". Add the email address bc-ics@cgaux.org to your list of allowed senders and retry activating.

Q. I am getting errors with <browser name here>
A. Please send the Administrator an email describing the problem as best you can and include your operating system, browser name and version.

Q. Can I have more than one email address in the Auxiliary Electronic Directory?
A. We get all of our email addresses from Auxdata, so unless it's in that system, it will not be in this Directory. Please have your preferred email address updated in Auxdata.

Q. I have recently changed data in Auxdata (such as email address or Flotilla), but it is not reflected in the Directory. Why not?
A. We receive static, read-only copies of data from Auxdata on a bi-weekly schedule. It might take a while for your requested changes to take effect in Auxdata and then show up in our database copy. Due to uncontrollable circumstances, there may be an occasion when data dumps only occur monthly.
